Brisbane is the lively Queensland capital, a city full of attractions but with a relaxed lifestyle. Smaller than Sydney and Melbourne, the city is growing quickly. With a population of about 2 million Brisbane is the third largest Australian city. Despite the economic boom Brisbane lifestyle is less hectic than the typical metropolitan city.
Brisbane climate is great: its sub-tropical latitude provides hot summers and mild winters (average winter temperatures are between 10 and 21 degrees).

Brisbane is considered a strategic gateway to the Gold Coast, Noosa and the Sunshine Coast, where fun, beaches and beautiful nature mix together.

The centre of the city is small: just 2.2 km2. And being a compact city makes it such an easy place to live. People are friendly and make visitors feel very welcome. But city stresses have not reached Brisbane…making it a place that offers a great combination of opportunities and an easy way of life.

Although the city is not on the coast, it is just one hour by train to the Gold Coast, so many students enjoy spending weekends at the beach.
