🔍 Dive into the details: The GS requirement aims to identify students genuinely seeking quality education in Australia without future migration intentions. The new GS assessment will include targeted questions covering various aspects of applicants’ circumstances, study choices, and reasons for selecting Australia.
📋 What’s changing? Changes include amendments to the Student visa application form, such as replacing the 300-word statement. Get ready for a new set of questions painting a clear picture of applicants’ backgrounds and intentions. Answers must be written in English. The maximum number of words per question is 150.
- Current circumstances: Family, community, employment, and economic ties
- Course choice explanation: Reasons for choosing Australia and the specific education provider
- Course benefits: Advantages for the applicant after completing the course
- Study history details for past Australian students
- Reasons for applying for a Student visa for non-Student visa holders
- Additional relevant information as desired by the applicant
🗣️ Applicants must support their claims with solid evidence of previous studies, current employment, living arrangements and economic circumstances. The Student Visa Declaration will also be updated to ensure that applicants understand their obligations and the limited availability of post-study migration pathways.
