Student advisor – Spanish Speaking, Sydney

Are you social, fun, and connected to the international student community?

We are looking for an energetic, social, creative, and hands-on all-rounder people to join our Sydney team!

You should be sales-driven, with a strong focus on customer service, and well-connected to the international community in Sydney. This is an intense role that provides support and service to the international student community, while also selling educational courses.

Go Study Australia supports more than 4000 students to study, live and work in Australia each year. We have 14 offices across Europe, Latin America and Australia. We are leaders in Australian education and provide full support for students on their educational journey.

The role of a Student Advisor is primarily focused on student support and mentoring to ensure that all Go Study leads and students have a successful experience in Australia. The Student Advisor will give unbiased, comprehensive information to help students choose a course according to their profile, financial constraints, future aspirations, and interests. This role includes a range of responsibilities and plays a critical role in the Australian journey of Go Study’s clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell a range of courses but, where possible, encourage the sale of Key Partner Schools
  • Find potential new customers looking to study via a range of methods including networking on social media, friend referrals, face-to-face networking, etc
  • Interact with the international student community online and offline to build awareness of Go Study Australia and our services
  • Ensure current GSA students are engaged and extend their studies with Go Study
  • Generate new leads both in person or through online channels
  • Ensure that all students and leads get the best possible service at all times
  • Provide full support for the offshore branches. This includes providing support for the students when they arrive from offshore to cover
  • Welcome Services including but not limited to support with general information about Australia, sim card activation, TFN and insurance activation, etc
  • Job orientation and support with finding a job
  • Perform admin duties and clerical support for student visas to leads and clients
  • Use of CRM according to internal policies and procedures and keep information updated
  • Participate and contribute to the Go Study community and marketing events
  • Facilitate the student’s integration into the GSA community by ensuring access to GSA social media platforms
  • Conduct market research to identify potential event opportunities
  • Promote events through GSA social media and whatsapp groups

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATION

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Well-connected to the Spanish and LATM international student community
  • Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Very sociable and able to communicate well with all sorts of people
  • A team player who wants to make a real difference
  • Outgoing, friendly and relatable
  • You must have lived in Australia for at least 6 months
